Corporate Tax Advisor
Our company is a well established, sucessful operating commodity trading company with HQ in Zug / Switzerland and subsidiaries worldwide.
To complete the Finance team, reporting to the Corporate Controller, we are looking for a younger person as
Corporate Tax Advisor - direct / indirect Tax
Your tasks:
Tax Advisory and Transfer Pricing
Conduct and maintain tax risk assessments, including the optimization of the current corporate structure.
- Provide clear guidance on tax/TP treatments for new transactions.
- Review supply chains to ensure compliance and manage risks.
- Oversee and manage structural changes in collaboration with local legal and tax consultants.
- Define and structure financing projects within the group, focusing on tax implications.
- Monitor and oversee corporate income tax implications across all Group countries in collaboration with local employees / local consultants.
- Supervise other direct taxes, such as withholding tax and stamp duties.
- Collaborate with direct tax consultants across various jurisdictions, extend existing network where needed.
- Provide ad hoc tax consulting for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and other projects.
- Maintain transfer pricing mechanisms for all intercompany transactions
- Prepare and manage transfer pricing documentation in collaboration with external TP professionals.
VAT Specialist Tasks
- Conduct comprehensive indirect tax analyses on existing transactions in EU and overseas.
- Provide clear guidance on VAT treatments/VAT risks for new transactions if needed in cooperation with local consultants.
- Review tax clauses during contract negotiations to ensure compliance.
- Ensure accurate issuance of VAT-related documents.
- Manage Swiss VAT (CH VAT) declarations and treatments, others in cooperation with consultants
- Create and update a VAT manual for use by traders and administrative staff; provide necessary training.
Your profile:
- Degree in Finance and / or Law
- Further education in International in international direct tax / indirect tax (VAT) and transfer pricing with several year’s practice.
- 3 to 5 years tax experience in an international trading environment
- Strong knowledge of general VAT regulations, willingness to learn local specifics.
- Expertise in Swiss VAT (CH VAT).
- Solid skills in international tax and transfer pricing.
- Strong command of English (company language).
- Ability to work effectively under time pressure and adapt to a changing environment.
